Honestly?
1. That moment after Sunday lunch when everyone else is doing the clearing up and you can indulge in a guilt-free, feet-up, blanket-on blissful half hour with a favourite book.
2. The stuff they bring home from nursery or primary school - splodgy paintings, pasta necklaces and tokens like this one, now over ten years old and much loved:
3. A bunch of primroses or daffodils:
What to give as a Mother's Day gift
But it’s also very lovely if someone has arranged for them to give you a little luxury – a Mother's Day treat as a thank you for doing all that mothering!
My luxury of choice is a deliciously-scented hand cream. And I love a collection of delights! Why not gather a selection of small treats – it can be samples or travel-sized treats - and present them in a beautiful make-up bag as a lovely Mother's Day gift? Think heated eye masks, bath oil, a lovely lip balm. If you want me to do that for you, I can add a matching sleep mask, mirrors and reusable face wipes to one of our beautiful Liberty fabric make up bags. This is a gorgeous gift for mum and perfect present for granny too!
If you're looking for other inspiration for a Mother's Day gift, I've got a whole collection here.
